Our History

Service Ashcore Mining Review began in 2019 when three former semiconductor test engineers in Busan noticed a gap between manufacturer hash rate claims and what small-scale operators actually saw in their garages and converted storage units. Rather than build another pool or hosting company, they pooled used bench equipment and started running controlled stability tests for local miners who could not afford to learn expensive lessons on their own.

By 2021, word spread through Gyeongsang hosting communities and we expanded the Haeundae lab to accommodate simultaneous 72-hour runs on six units. We remain independent — no hardware resale, no pool affiliations, no manufacturer sponsorships.

What We Do Today

We assess cryptocurrency mining hardware rated at 0.05 TH/s and higher, with a primary focus on hash rate stability under sustained load. Our reports help operators, hosts, and buyers make decisions based on measured performance rather than spec sheet peaks.

Our Team

Jae-hoon Kim — Lead bench engineer. Fifteen years in semiconductor burn-in testing before moving to mining hardware assessment. Designs our thermal stress protocols.

Eun-ji Choi — Field technician. Conducts on-site audits across Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do. Holds an electrical safety certification for industrial installations.

Marcus Okafor — Report analyst. Translates raw bench data into comparison reports and client-facing summaries. Background in industrial data logging.

Working Approach

We treat every unit as if it were heading into our own rack. Firmware stays at factory defaults unless you explicitly request a specific version. We document ambient conditions, power supply model, and pool endpoint so results can be reproduced or challenged.

We do not accept payment from manufacturers to favour their hardware in reports. Comparison rankings are based solely on measured stability metrics agreed at intake.

Relationship to the Community

We sponsor quarterly open-house evenings at our Haeundae lab where operators can observe a live bench run and ask questions. We also contribute field notes to local mining meetups in Busan and Ulsan, covering topics like cooling in coastal humidity and interpreting variance charts.
